Turtuk is a village and the headquarters of an eponymous community development block in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. It is a small village sandwiched between the Karakorum Range and the Himalayas, and one of the northernmost villages of India, close to the Line of Control between India and Pakistan.These villages fro the only region in India populated by Balti People . TURTUK is known for its fruit especially apricots. Turtuk was administered by Pakistan & was Under Pakistan control until the war of 1971, when the India Army regained control again , it is also one of the gateway to the Siachen Glacier. Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake is an endorheic lake spanning eastern Ladakh and West Tibet situated at an elevation of 4,225 m. It is 134 km long and divided into five sublakes, called Pangong Tso, Tso Nyak, Rum,.The Pangong Lake falls on the Sino-Indian Line of Actual Control and to visit this beautiful lake you are required to get Inner Line permission. Also because the Pangong Lake is situated very close to the border, you will be allowed to visit only up to a certain area. You can explore the lake till the Spangmik village.
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake 14,500 ft, drive of 6 – 7 Hrs. Arrival at Camp, Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the color changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. *Overnight at the Deluxe Camp
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake, full day drive 148 km through changla pass 17,400 feet. Visit beautiful Pangong Lake forms a part of the border area between India and China. This large lake is an altitude of 14,000 feet above the sea level has variation of colors on the bank of Lake, 3 idiot shooting point. Overnight at Hotel in Leh .
